Operating a stone’s throw from Melbourne CBD in a small-footprint, avant-garde cafe, we seek a barista/cafe allrounder who has at least 12 months experience in a similar role.

THIS IS OFTEN A FAST-PACED MULTI-TASKING  ENVIRONMENT.
Ideally the applicant will have some coffee skills (at least basic latte art), recognise when/how dosing needs adjusting, an understanding of milk temperature control, and all other associated fundamentals of great coffee delivery.
Familiarisation with POS is essential.
Familiarisation with food preparation in a fast-paced hospitality environment highly sought.
Unfortunately due to the needs of the fast-paced work environment we can only accept persons with a high degree of fluency in english.
The role will be between the hours of 7am and 4pm Monday to Friday, 830 am and 8pm Saturday, with occasional midweek evenings skewed to accommodate local sporting events.
Whilst we primarily seek a grounded ‘barista’ we also require someone capable and anticipatory enough to get involved with broader cafe duties including:
– table clearing
– dishwasher prepping/unloading/polishing
– food-to-table delivery
– general house keeping
– coffee preparation/table delivery
– Other beverage production (milkshake/smoothie/fresh juices/etc).

Ideally you will have a current RSA.
Please note that this is a full time role… If you are on a student Visa this role would not suit you unless your visa allows unlimited work commitment.
